Eligibility Self-Employed
The Self-Employed Residence Permit (trabajo por cuenta propia) allows non-EU citizens to live and legally work in Spain as freelancers or business owners, with an initial authorization valid for one year. Renewals are granted for four-year periods, provided you can prove that your business activity remains viable and that you are up to date with your tax and Social Security (RETA) obligations.
