Eligibility Student-Visa
The Student Visa (estancia por estudios) allows non-EU citizens to stay in Spain for more than 90 days to pursue full-time studies at an accredited institution . It is typically granted for the duration of the academic program (or for one year, renewable annually), and requires proof of enrollment, sufficient financial means (around 100% of the IPREM, approx. €600/month), and valid private health insurance .
Renewals (prórroga) can be requested within 60 days before the current authorization expires, or up to 90 days after (though late applications carry risks).
